HR5 salivary testing from Direct Diagnostics

HR5 salivary testing from Direct Diagnostics uses your saliva to detect five high-risk bacteria harmful to your teeth, gums, and overall health. These bacteria, if ignored, can cause gum disease, tooth decay, and contribute to systemic inflammation, potentially leading to other health problems. The beauty of this non-invasive test lies in its simplicity and the actionable information it provides. Once we identify these bacteria, we offer a manageable plan to improve your oral and overall health. This way, the HR5 salivary test doesn’t just help in maintaining your oral health, but it also promotes proactive preventive healthcare.

The Bale Doneen Method®️ (BDM)

The Bale Doneen Method®️ (BDM) is a method to help you manage your heart health proactively. Unlike standard care that estimates disease risk, the Bale Doneen Method®️ uses inflammatory marker, genetic, and saliva testing, along with advanced diagnostics such as a 20-minute Carotid Intima-Media Thickness Test (CIMT Test), to pinpoint physical evidence of disease in your arteries. This method gives you a precise understanding of your health status and disease risk. The goal of this program is to empower you to take active steps in disease prevention or treatment. Whether you’re at risk or have suffered a heart attack or stroke, this approach will guide you on a preventative journey towards improved health. We often recommend to read The Heart Attack Gene or Healthy Brain, Healthy Heart to get a full understanding of the method.

Academy of Airway and Gnathologic Orthopedics (AAGO)©

Academy of Airway and Gnathologic Orthopedics (AAGO) consists of a group of general dentists and specialists who excel in finding unique solutions to orthodontic and bite issues. Building upon principles initially taught by Dr. George Crozat in the 1920s and refined by Dr. Bert Weibrecht in the 1950s, AAGO uses removable soldered wire/light wire appliances in conjunction with functional activities like rest oral posture, chewing, and tooth-together swallowing. This approach fosters changes in the underlying bone, resulting in wider upper and lower dental arches that not only enhance aesthetics but can also positively affect the health of the upper respiratory system and even mitigate sleep-disordered breathing.

The North American Association of Facial Orthotropics® (NAAFO)©

The North American Association of Facial Orthotropics® (NAAFO) is a global community of healthcare professionals who utilize a treatment called Orthotropics®. They believe that ideal facial and jaw development is influenced by proper oral posture – meaning the tongue rests against the palate, lips are sealed, and teeth are close together. NAAFO members strive to guide jaw growth and improve facial appearance during a patient’s youth using appliances and myofunctional therapy (postural training of the tongue, lips, and cheeks). They contend that appropriate facial growth and permanent teeth alignment can only be achieved by maintaining adequate space for the tongue, teaching patients proper swallowing, and encouraging closed-mouth posture.
